Lumpiang Shanghai Recipe Filipino Style Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cups cabbage, finely chopped into strips
1 medium carrot, finely chopped
1 pack lumpia wrappers
1 egg, beaten and to be used as paste to bind lumpia wrappers
2 cups vegetable oil
salt and pepper
How to Make Lumpiang Shanghai Recipe Filipino Style
1. In a skillet, saute the onions and garlic in a little bit of oil for 5 minutes over medium heat.
2. Add in the ground beef, salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 15 minutes or until golden brown in color. Remove excess oil in the pan.
3. Add the cabbage and carrots, cook for 5 minutes and then set aside in a bowl.
4. Use the lumpia wrappers to wrap a portion of the meat and vegetable mixture. Use the beaten egg to seal the ends of these Filipino Style Spring Rolls.
5. In a pan, fry these Beef Lumpia Shanghai over hot oil for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown in color.
