Pork with sauerkraut

2 pounds sauerkraut
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 full tbsp tomato paste
2 to 3 small hot peppers (optional)
1.5 cup olive oil
1.5 kg pork cut into portions
juice of two lemons
salt and black pepper
