Lamb Rogan Xosi Lamb Rogan Josh

Ingredients for 4 servings
* 350g lamb neck fillet, cut into cubes * 1 large onion, chopped * 1 tsp. chopped fresh ginger * 2 cloves garlic, chopped * 1 to 2 red peppers, chopped * 2 tsp. cumin * 1 x 400 g chopped tomatoes (canned) * 4 tablespoons tomato paste * A pinch of cinnamon powder * 1 tablespoon olive oil * Salt and pepper * 1 / 2 cup yogurt
Preparation
Heat the oil in a saucepan and saute onion until tender.
Mix ginger, garlic, chilli, cumin and cinnamon, trigariste for 2 to 3 minutes.
Put the lamb in mixture for 2 minutes or until browning.
Add the chopped tomato, tomato paste and salt, cover pot and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes or until the lamb is soft and ready.
Add the yogurt with a spoon and stir.
Serve with rice or bread Nan (Indian bread) |
