Serves 6 to 8 servings
* 1 kilo of chicken wings (without tips) * 1 clove garlic * 1 / 2 teaspoon Chinese spices * 3 tablespoons soy sauce * 1 / 2 teaspoon grated ginger * 3 tablespoons vinegar (apple or wine) * 2 tablespoons honey * 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Preparation
Put wings in a Pyrex and marinate using the above ingredients for at least half an hour. Put in the oven and cover with foil and bake for 1 / 2 hour. Turn and cook for another 1 / 2 hour. Check that the juices have evaporated if the sugar caramelized and began to darken. Remove the foil, add 2 tablespoons of hot water (this will dilute the caramelized sugar and have a nice brown sauce) - put it back in the oven and bake uncovered for another 5 to 10 minutes. Check and turn the chicken until the juices evaporate. Let the chicken with juice to rest for 5 minutes before serving. |
