Apple in foil Apple in foil Ingredients: Serves 4:
2 large apples (such as Jonagold or Gold) 2 tbsp. butter 4 tbsp. sugar cinnamon 4 slices of cake the juice of 1 / 4 lemon 4 tbsp. amaretto or calvados (or red currant syrup for children) 4 sheets of aluminum foil (± 30 x 30 cm) vanilla Preparation: Lubricate the middle of each sheet of aluminum foil, buttered. Put a sliced apple sliced in half. Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1 tbsp. sugar. Drizzle some lemon juice. Arrange a slice of cake on there that you moisten with 1 Tbsp. amaretto, calvados or red currant syrup. Fold the papillot closed.
Place papillotes for 10 minutes on the grill (that does not really supposed to be). Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
